Redirect

A few of you have asked about the details of my campaign for public office (which is the reason I haven't been blogging much and probably won't for the next 10 months -- see Time and Money below).

Due to the nature of my day job, I have to maintain a degree of anonymity on Rain Storm. Travis is actually the central character in a mystery novel I haven't published, yet.

Consequently I won't be covering the details of my campaign on Rain Storm.

However, if you are interested in occasional posts about an obscure, local, political campaign, you might want to visit Battle in the Shade.

Tell 'em Travis sent you.

Bush Lied. Keep saying it.

Apparently the administration (plus its many noisemakers) doesn't like it when people say "they lied." Their current strategy is to slime the patriotism of anyone who says they lied, while at the same time saying that it's okay that they lied because the Democrats in Congress believed the same flawed intelligence.

As Billmon (or somebody -- I can't find the link anymore) pointed out a couple of weeks ago, Congress only knows what the administration tells them. Congress doesn't have any intelligence assets of its own.

So yes, Congress got it wrong, but they got it wrong because the White House kept them in the dark and fed them horse shit.

Need examples. Kevin Drum has started a nice little list.

Bush lied. So did Cheney. So did Condi (mushroom cloud) Rice. Keep saying it.
